Alexis, a few questions if you can swing the time…
1. Regarding your switch from PayPal to Google Checkout — have you noticed a general decrease in buyers/conversion? Instinct would tell me that if people are savvy enough to use one online money wallet, then they’d have no problem using a different one. But I’d be interested to hear if you’ve noticed any differences yourself.
2. I believe you used Paydotcom as your major affiliate network. Given the PayPal breakdown, which affiliate solution are you/do you intend to go with now?
3. Any intentions to update DBO?
4. Will you marry me?
Thanks for your time.
3.
Hi Matt,
1) I haven’t noticed any difference in sales volume since switching from PayPal to Google Checkout.
2) I’m in love with E-Junkie now (listed in the post). They’re simple to use, and inexpensive at only $5 a month. Plus they integrate with a number of payment processors including: PayPal, Google Checkout, Clickbank, 2Checkout and Authorize.net.
3) I’m updating it right now. Actually I’ve been making notes for a long time. But I like to test everything before I put it out there.
4) “What was that Matt??? The line’s got some static… hello, hello, call me back tomorrow.”
You’re welcome hon,
Alexis
YOU ARE AWESOME! As if my Alexis-love couldn’t grow any higher, boom — there it is! You had a little lull there and you’re roaring back in a way that’s just plain..(channeling my inner Tyra Banks) *FIERCE*!
Your blogs have given me the kick in the pants to pick up DBO again and finish this salesletter …focus and profit
Thankyou so much! That’s amazing – I don’t know of many people online or off who just ‘give away’ so many resources all in one hit! Perfect timing too, just when I was start to wonder about some of that stuff (like covers) for my new e-book.
Kat
Hey Isabella!
Yeah, I needed a break. I think all writers/artists go through some type of insanity phase. It just comes with the creative territory. Go nuts and move on. Amen.
(Okay I wasn’t literally insane… I just needed some time off to refresh my brain cells.)
Thanks for the Tyra-Gram – and get moving on your salesletter, (or I’ll send Miss Jay Alexander over there to give you a stare down.)

Kat… I’m glad you like it. Enjoy!
About creating PDF documents:
1) OpenOffice.org has a built-in PDF converter – you can save your Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents right into PDF format. Check out at http://www.openoffice.org
2) Microsoft Office 2007 has a free plugin-in that does the same – saves any document in PDF format.
3) The same applies to Apple software – Keynote, Pages, Numbers or Microsoft Office for Mac.
Great timing for me as well – I have just about finished my first ebook about personal finance and soon will have to start selling it.
And last but not least – a grand Thank You, Alexis!!

I just purchased DBO last weekend and this list of resources is a great addendum. I was wondering when DBO II will be released and if current owners will get an update…
Also, this new payment method may be worth taking a look at and adding to your list: flexepayment.com, it’s from the Warrior Forum.
Thanks
Phil

Alexis:
I just purchased Desperate Buyers Only and immediately read it straight through.
You’ve provided a wealth of excellent information.
I have a successful website that provides information and ideas for people who need to put together a birthday party for their child. I recently authored an eBook for that niche and have just started promoting it.
After reading DBO I plan to shift focus and look forward to success in the DBO niche.
Again, thank you for the excellent information you’ve delivered with Desperate Buyers Only.
Thank you
Mike
