Max... I read the reviews on Dragon V.10, and they don't look good if you're running Vista - which I am. So I'm going to wait it out a bit.

I was just think about visiting you last week. I must've thought you up! We'll have to talk. Layla's going back to school next week.

Mike... I do have some of my groceries delivered. The staple items like cereals, paper towels, etc. But I don't leave the "grocery-powers-that-be" to choose my meats, fish, fruits and vegetables. I'm like a chef - I prefer to do that myself.

And I also have a cleaning person who comes in during the week. But I was raised by a Grandmother who cleaned houses for a living. So I am borderline obsessive/compulsive about ALWAYS keeping a clean house. There are certain things I do every day regardless - like clean the bathroom and vacuum the hardwood floors.

So yeah... I do DO those things. But I like doing certain things for myself. Such is the advantage of working at home. For instance, I'd NEVER get a nanny for my kid - (though I DON'T knock anyone who does). I just enjoy being a hands-on parent. I can't imagine missing certain parts of her life just so I could sit behind a friggin' keyboard. I still have at least 40+ years to unfurl the thoughts that are going on in my brain. And even if I don't - my goal is to always be able to do what I want to do.

These are the things that make me happy.

Alexis congrats on doing well with information marketing.

You mention the following:
In between cooking, cleaning, going to the zoo, school shopping, grocery shopping, and taking my 83-year old neighbor out to dinner, my days are FULL.

At your rate of $45 for 600 words you were saying, doesn't it make sense to get others to clean, have groceries delivered, etc?

Hi Alexis,

I'm new to the IM business but have been designing and developing websites since 1997. I know you like to write all your own content, but for someone like me who doesn't have a lot of experience writing, and I'm certainly not a fast writer (read dead slow), would it not be better use of my time to focus on the research and outsource my writing?

Also, have you had any experience/success with using dictation software like Dragon Naturally Speaking to increase your writing speed?

P.S. I love your blog. You are a truly inspiring!

Kind regards,
David Crowther
